Our Crew

Rick Carney – Rick has decades of experience on sportfish boats, bringing experience from the running gear to the buggy top. Not only is he proud to represent Weaver Boatworks for new builds or assisting clients on previously owned boats of any build, he is Captain on our largest build to date, 97’ “18 Reeler”. Even though he may be out of town or out of country, he is as close as a phone call away and anxious to assist or just answer questions.

Jay Seymour – Jay was born and raised on the Chesapeake Bay, Capt Seymour started running his first boat at the age of 6. From there he decided that he wanted to become a commercial waterman and has been running his own commercial crab boat and charter boats for over 20 years now. He currently holds a 100 ton Masters license and has run vessels ranging from 6 to 75 feet. Seymour has been a DC Fire Fighter for the past 11 years and has most recently accepted a different position within the Fire Department as Marine operator for the DC Fire Boat. His knowledge and passion for boats and the water has lead him to Captain for Jim Weaver on Weavers new Bay Built (WEAVER 43) and being involved with Hidden Harbour Marina operations, slips and boat sales.
